- - - - - - (the result of 2 temporal types) - - - - - - - - -
Let a "duration of conventional time t," maintain the symbol "duration."
Let a "duration of cyclic Time T," acquire the new symbol of "duraTion."
- - - - - - - - - - - ("pi radians" = 180 degrees) - - - - - -
A duration of "time t" might be a "conventional," mathematical sum of pi radians plus pi radians, which is "ongoing" and is equal to 2pi radians.
However, a "duraTion" of cyclic "Time T" is a "contrasting" mathematical sum of: "pi radians _minus_ pi radians," which is equal to zero radians!
Examples of "duraTions:"
1. A watch second hand moves + pi radians in a "duraTion" of thirty sec. It then moves "- pi radians" in the next "duraTion" of thirty sec, so as to end up where it started.
2. A watch minute hand moves + pi radians in a "duraTion" of thirty min. It then moves "- pi radians" in the next "duraTion" of thirty min, so as to end up where it started.
3. A watch hour hand moves + pi radians in a "duraTion" of six hours. It then moves "- pi radians" in the next "duraTion" of six hours, so as to end up where it started.
4. The "Earth Clock" moves + pi radians in a "duraTion" of twelve hours. It then moves "- pi radians" in the next "duraTion" of twelve hours, so as to end up where it started.
- - - - - - - - - - Metaphor, for novel explanation. - - - - -
Move from the North Pole to Halifax in 12 hours, and from well above the Earth's surface "Halifax Space" has become "Beijing Space." Now go south again in the next 12 hours at approximately the same speed, and you will arrive in an equatorial "Venezuela Space!"
The southerly ("conventional time ct/t") duration is 24.0 hours, but the {"RhythmicTime (RT)"} "duraTion," also 24.0 hours, relative to the original Halifax meridian is +ve ("moving away") for the first 12 hours, but then -ve ("moving towards") for the remaining 12 hours, because after 24 hours such a meridian has returned to its approximate starting position, for planet Earth, as seen from a nearby space position!
From <http://www.egroups.com/message/time/13394> - - -
"Duration" is a difference between 2 "time scalar labels" or "timetags."
"DuraTion" is a difference between 2 "Time scalar labels" or "Timetags."
Here "time" is "conventional time (ct)" & "Time" is "RhythmicTime (RT)."
"Duration" is the linear "space/speed" from the North Pole to Venezuela.
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - But, - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
"DuraTion," relative to the original Halifax meridian (aligning say with Alpha Centauri) is "pi radians" divided by the angular velocity in a +ve or "away direction" for 12 hours followed by "pi radians" divided by the same angular velocity, but in a -ve or "towards direction," for the next 12 hours. And, this (+ pi) radians plus this (- pi) radians = 0 radians! I.e. after 24 hrs such Halifax meridian returns to its "original space."
- - - - - CYCLES OF TWO ARCHETYPES (continued) - - -
Consider 2 graphs of: A) "time t" against degrees, & B) "Time T" against degrees (both "time & Time" in hrs), for a watch hour hand, as Appendix.
A) degrees "time t" B) degrees "Time T" "RBC" Semantics for "T"
0 0 0 0 "OnTime"
30 1 30 1
60 2 60 2
90 3 90 3 "LateTime"
120 4 120 4
150 5 150 5
180 6 180 6 and -6 "OffTime"
210 7 210 -5
240 8 240 -4
270 9 270 -3 "EarlyTime"
300 10 300 -2
330 11 330 -1
360 12 360 0 "OnTime"
390 13 390 1
[Where "OnTime" must be

a synchronization.]
The semantic concept that we use in "Rhythm Based Communication, (RBC)," for "Time" at 90 degrees is "Late," & thus 120 degrees would be "Later." But, the semantic concept that we use in "RBC" for "Time" at 270 degrees is "Early," & thus 300 degrees would be "Less Early." Such "corresponds" to the right hand data above as the animals respond to "Time," not time.
But, "RBC" appears "bidirectional" as "Late," & "Early" can be exchanged to form the dichotomy of "Declarative," & "Corresponding Interrogative."
