Note 6 on Commentary 1 by Raman on TA3 by Lofting
By Ratan Singh
4 September 1997

Commentray 1 by Raman on Lofting's TA 3, entitled 'Brain, Illusions, Perception' is superb.

I want however to comment on the following first few lines by Raman taken from 'Categories of Brain-modes and the Challenge': 'An important characteristic of the human brain is its capacity for complex logical reasoning: another of the intangible wonders in the physical universe'.

Many others have also said the same thing about brain. But we must remember that not all brains are capable of complex logical reasoning. Surely the brain of Stephen Hawking and of a tribal lord are different. The brain requires training (education) to acquire that "...important characteristic...".
