IDIOT SAVANT

People see the world

through a myriad stencils

of their own making;

most of us are more

out of date than sanity --

not sick, just passe.

How does this happen ?

Before you’re born you’re building;

then the blitz of birth

screws up everything;

by the time you graduate

there’s all hell to pay.

Squeezing constructed

square pegs into constructed

round holes gets nowhere

until you learn how

to refine stencils without

really trying to.
