On Paul K Feyerabend: SCIENCE IN A FREE SOCIETY, etc.

Science in a Free Society is the work Paul liked the least in his last years of life. In fact, he did not accept to get it reprinted, and "saved" only a few key points, which were then incorporated in the latest version of Against Method. (The third version of AM is quite a new book with respect to the first version). I would suggest to read that, rather than Science in a Free Society, if you wish to follow PKF's views on his own work.

Let me take the occasion also to mention that two CDs of Paul's recordings are just out from Suppos Verlag + Label. The first (Wissenchaftstheoretische Plaudereien) is a collection of public speeches and lectures, mostly in German (I do not understand German, but it must contain something funny, as I hear the audience laughing quite often). The second (Stories from Paolino's Tapes) are more personal recounts by Paul, on opera, music, theater, film, people he knew, etc., all in English.

The coordinates of Suppos are: Kleiner Griechenmarkt 28-30 50676 Koln, Germany, tel: 0221-66079-06 (fax: 07); kontakt@suppose.de www.suppose.de.
