AND MIND )

In Searle's reply to Papineau (Commentary 11 posted on KJF 23 Feb 08), Searle
asserts his fundamental belief : "all of my conscious processes are caused
by neuronal processes."
Can't Searle's neuronal processes
proceed without producing verbal exhaust ? If his words are mere byproducts
of his thalamocortical system, why should we pay any
attention to what he says ?
If Searle cannot control the
verbal output of his autonomous brain, he should quarantine himself until the
spasms stop and he regains control of his mind.
